The near-atomic dissolution of the zirconia does not cloud the glass and reinforces the glass matrix. In combination with the presence of the glass-ceramic crystals, this results in very high strength.

The very small glass-ceramic crystals allow the material to be finished and polished in its final crystallized, tooth-coloured state. An additional crystallization step - as with lithium disilicate - is not required.
