Impact resistant, very rigid material. PLA-handles bond to Erkoplast PLA with heat. Base for the Erkoplast PLA types is the natural occuring polylactide. Mainly starches for ex. out of maize or other agricultural waste are used as raw materials.

Application field: Erkoplast PLA is recommended for the fabrication of functional trays and individual impression trays. Chemical characteristics: PLA, Polylactidacid, based on lactic acid. Harmless to health, BgVV (Federal Health Office) listed thermoplasts with tested biocompatibility. Insoluble in water, inactive, harmless to ground water.

Usage: Fixation of the PLA-handle during thermoforming process. For Erkoplast-PLA material no LG-Primer needed! For machines without heating time control: Test softness of foil with an instrument. If permanent impressions result, thermoform.
